Positive Outreach Development Society (POD Society): Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Lives
POD Society is committed to supporting communities both inside correctional facilities and throughout society. We recognize that returning citizens deserve more than a second chance—they deserve preparation, opportunity, and the tools to succeed after incarceration. With the right guidance, mentorship, and resources, the cycle of recidivism can be broken, ensuring brighter futures and safer communities.
Recidivism has remained a public safety challenge for far too long. At POD Society, we make the road to reentry more manageable by providing structure, support, and encouragement at every step. Each day after incarceration presents new challenges, and we work to build the confidence and resilience returning citizens need to thrive.
We believe character is the foundation of successful reintegration. That’s why rebuilding, equipping, and empowering returning citizens is at the heart of our mission. Through mentorship, credible messengers, and positive community engagement, POD Society is revolutionizing the reentry process—transforming justice-impacted individuals into contributors, leaders, and role models.
Change begins within, but true strength grows through guidance, support, and community. Together, we can end recidivism and inspire lasting transformation.

Transforming Lives from Within
POD’s mentors and facilitators empower incarcerated individuals through tailored education, guidance, and resources—building the skills and confidence needed for a successful return to society.

Building Strategic Partnerships to End Recidivism
POD Society has worked tirelessly to forge meaningful partnerships with community stakeholders and like-minded organizations dedicated to ending recidivism. By leveraging the expertise, resources, and influence of these collaborators, we develop more effective strategies and interventions to reduce repeat offenses among formerly incarcerated individuals.
These partnerships are designed to provide comprehensive support, education, and resources—equipping returning citizens with the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to successfully reintegrate into society and break the cycle of incarceration.

POD Society thrives on community support and engagement, advancing public safety while cultivating a culture of positivity, empowerment, and shared responsibility.

POD Society Community Events: Connecting, Collaborating, and Empowering
Our community events are intentionally designed to bring together activists, leaders, support organizations, and families in a safe and welcoming environment. These gatherings foster meaningful networking, collaborative problem-solving, and the exchange of innovative strategies to strengthen and uplift the community. By encouraging dialogue, shared learning, and mutual support, our events empower participants to work collectively toward sustainable community development and lasting positive impact.

The POD team works to educate the community by hosting events that engage citizens with our mission. We collaborate with organizations to create a village that operates on positivity.

Mental Health & Substance Abuse Treatment

Mind C.A.R.E. (Cognitive Assessment for Reentry)
Pioneering a new approach to support justice-impacted individuals, Mind C.A.R.E. addresses mental health challenges while equipping participants for successful reentry.
By recognizing the vital connection between mental wellness and public safety, this program empowers individuals to build resilience, make positive choices, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
POD Society’s team of forensic Peer Specialists works passionately within correctional facilities, delivering practical, evidence-based approaches to mental health. By addressing these challenges proactively, we reduce their impact on individuals and enhance public safety for the broader community.

Mind CARE—Cognitive Assessment for Reentry—is designed to address the mental health needs of individuals prior to their reintegration into society. By combining forensic peer mentorship, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and comprehensive substance use treatment, Mind CARE provides a structured pathway to overcome barriers and promote sustainable success in reentry.

We take substance abuse seriously. Our focus on personalized treatment and recovery distinguishes POD from others—approaching each case with understanding, compassion, and without judgment. We recognize that substance use is often a mental health challenge, and we are committed to supporting every individual on their journey to recovery.
At POD, your recovery is personal—and we are here every step of the way.
